start to finish. Upon telephoning the company for an estimate,
the gentleman came the same day. Considering the ordering
process, they were able to schedule the replacement upon arrival
of new awning. |

large, screened-in porch and accordion shutters to my home. I looked into many
different local companies but after doing my research I choose Alumicenter. The
owner Juan Cohen called immediately and followed up with me as planned. The
price we agreed upon was fair and competitive and no surprises in the end. He
worked well with our schedule and made sure to follow
up on all building guidelines, codes and inspections, as these were key factors
for us because we have had problems with others in the past. Juan was not only
on time but, was present for most of the job. His staff was well trained,
respectful and professional. This was one of the best building experiences we
have ever had. Inspection was a breeze and I can’t thank Mr. Cohen and staff for

Toward the end of May 2012,
I contacted Alumicenter via their website to inquire on the price of an
Aluminum porch. I already knew the dimensions based on quotes from several other
contractors who visited my home. An
employee of the company contacted me the same day and we setup an appointment
for someone to come out and see the property. I had to re-schedule the first
meeting due to some circumstances out of my control. The company changed the
meeting for the following week.
The representative that came over to my home was Juan Cohen. Juan is the owner
of Alumicenter. He arrived on-time and was prepared to take measurements of the
area. Juan took notes of the area and measured it. He told me that I will have
an emailed quote sent to me later that night. This is perfect as I am 100%
attached to my iphone and email works best to communicate with me.
As promised, the quote arrived later that night. I was pleasantly surprised to
see that he had sent two quotes. One for the roofing I wanted and another for
the screened-in version. My wife and I had wanted to do the screen but didn't t
ask Juan because the other contractors were pricing it outside of our price
range. To our delight, Juan s screened-in quote was not as high as the others.
Matter of fact, it was towards the top of our spending budget whereas all others
were nearly $500 - $700 over our budget. We decided to go with the screened
enclosure!
Juan submitted all the paperwork to the city for permitting. Since I live in a
gated, Lennar community, I had to get my HOA s approval. Juan provided all the
forms and Miami-Dade Approvals I needed to include an architectural rendering of
the porch. It was approved with no issues because all the paperwork was complete
and thorough. The permit was issued and the inspection of the foundation passed
with no issues. This gave way to concrete pouring and actual structure build.
I was expecting to find a construction site once I arrived home. However, Juan
and his people cleaned up after themselves and ensured that they did not damage
the vegetation nor destroy my grass. You could hardly tell that a crew had been
working there. It was excellent! The concrete guys showed up 15 mins EARLY! This
is great! They went right to work and my foundation was poured in less than 2
hours. The concrete took three days to hardened. Once that was hardened, Juan
began to work on the construction of the enclosure.
His crew took two days to build the enclosure. They always arrive on time or
earlier and went straight to work. No cafesito breaks! It was truly a pleasure
seeing quality work being done by a contractor. The crew was proficient in their
task and you can tell that this wasn't their first time doing it. The quality of
the build was superb and the materials were new and definitely not old stock.
After the work was done, Juan came over and walked me through the construction
of the enclosure. He climbed ladders with me to show me the roof and show me how
it was waterproof. He should me little extras that he incorporated to make the
structure stronger. The bolts he used were higher grade and tensile strength
than those required by the plans. I appreciated this!
Overall, the enclosure looks fantastic! I am a perfectionist and I looked at
every single nook and cranny looking for defects or oddities. I couldn't t find
any.. Juan has excellent customer service skills and superb construction
experience. He answers all emails immediately! ((I emailed him over 40 times,
yes, I am a perfectionist and look at the details!)) He ensured all my questions
were answered and went over and beyond my expectations. Well, I ll let the
pictures speak for themselves! I absolutely recommend Alumicenter for your
enclosure project! |

happy with my enclosure. Initially I was hesitant to do this project due
to fear of decreasing the space of my yard and to have it look like a
cage. But Juan Cohen at Alumicenter made sure I had the best idea of how
the enclosure would look while meeting City Codes. He showed me pictures
and sketches, and described in detail the dimensions and placement of
the structure. The work was completed within the stated time frame, and
the staff was pleasant and professional. Juan was easily accessible for
any concerns during the entire time the work was in progress. I feel
like I have a new pool and patio. The area seems even larger than it
really is. Thank you, excellent work!
